DELTA Resources Inc. Awarded 2nd Contract in Support of Marine Corps DELTA to Support Documenting The Lessons of The Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP) Joint Program Office (JPO)

DELTA Resources Inc. has been awarded its sixth task order under its SEAPORT-e multiple award contract, N00178-04-D-4034. DELTA Technical Manager, Andy Walden, will lead this six-month task order which is valued at $566,000. The effort will culminate in the creation of an in-depth report recounting the lessons learned from the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicle Joint Program Office (JPO).

MRAPs played a key force protection role in Iraq and continue to do so in Afghanistan. The report will detail the MRAP JPO’s successful overseeing of the design, testing, acquisition, and delivery of more than 23,000 MRAP vehicles to troops overseas in an unprecedented rapid timeframe. Team DELTA will interview senior Department of Defense and leading congressional officials in order to create a comprehensive depiction of the program’s history. The knowledge gained from the MRAP JPO will be important for the repeat success and improvement of future acquisition programs.

DELTA is teaming with Gryphon Technologies LC in the development of the product. As part of the report, Team DELTA will also be providing photographs, images, digital documentation, and other reference material.

“I’m really pleased we are able to close out our participation with the MRAP project in this way,” said Maria Proestou, DELTA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “The report we produce will provide critical experiential information that will assist in future acquisition decisions.”
